Wheelchair Seat Belts & Fall Alarm Monitors help prevent falls from wheelchairs. Falls from wheelchairs are common and generally occur when residents either lean too far forward in their chairs leading to wheelchair instability or slide out of their chairs. Residents with cognitive impairment and/or lower extremity problems are at special risk. Residents with muscle weakness, paralysis, abnormal muscle tone, or muscle imbalance are also at risk.
